Sorry we’ve been sleeping…

The sad reality is that there will likely be a maximum of two people who have noticed that my blog posts have stopped (thanks Mum and Dad!). We (Clover and I… i.e, just me) haven’t posted since the start of October. I’ve been wanting to write more posts… I LOVE writing about mine and Clover’s adventures. Plus I’ve had days/situations/stories where I’ve thought ‘that would be great for the blog!’

But the truth is, blogging takes a lot more time and effort that I ever thought it would. It’s sometimes entire evenings sat typing away, which I don’t mind. But life is busy. October was my 30th birthday (no presents from Clover though… nor any more love than usual. I’m sick of this one way relationship!). November was chaotic, December was Christmas shenanigans and, well… here we are.

But we have SO much to tell. So much has happened during our time away that I don’t even know where to begin. As you may have gathered from all my other posts… dog ownership is HARD. But these last few months have been particularly testing both emotionally and financially. It has been problem after problem, followed by worry followed by vet visits followed by worry again. Followed by new problems, followed by more stress, more worry and more vet visits. It has been an endless, tiring circle and only now are we getting back to some normality.

The past three months have consisted of perhaps the hardest tribulations I have faced as a dog owner… so far! So strap in, because I’m going to tell you all about it over the course of my next few posts.

Please read it. Please send the link to this blog to anyone you know who is even half considering getting a dog and urge them to read it before they make any decisions.

If you missed any of my previous diary updates, you can find them at ‘the diary of my ruff reality.’

Alternatively, head to ‘nobody warned me about…’ to read about the dog ownership topics that I wish someone had told me about before I got Clover.

*Disclaimer- I have no animal related qualifications whatsoever. Which begs the question as to exactly how much of my advice you should take. This isn’t really an advice blog- not properly. It’s more of a ‘these are my experiences- maybe we can all learn from them’ type of blog. You should probably seek actual qualified veterinary/animal behaviourist/dog dietician advice if you genuinely have any dog related concerns. I’m just here to share the things I’ve learnt in my three years of dog ownership. Some of which may be useful- some not.*
